Supaloc Targa Adelaide will introduce some exciting changes in 2012, with the inclusion of modern cars to compete along with the classics and an innovative night stage, among the highlights.

Details of the night stage, where people will be able to watch millions of dollars of many of the world’s finest cars compete side by side at an inner city venue, will be announced at a media opportunity on Wednesday May 23 at 12.30 at the Adelaide Event and Exhibition Centre.

Welling & Catford return to tarmac for On The Run Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally 2012

Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally (AHTR) will travel the Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu Peninsula 18th – 20th May 2012 with a strong field of Australian Tarmac Rally & SARC teams seeking to enjoy the region’s tarmac roads and compete for points in their respective rally championships. Regular state tarmac competitors, David Welling (aged 26) and Tristan Catford (aged 25), have combined resources to present a Mitsubishi Evolution 6 RS in competitive trim for this year’s 26 stage tarmac rally.

SARC Results & Point Scores - Round 1 Rallye Wattle Range

The final results and point scores have been released following Round 1 of the 2012 SARC, Rallye Wattle Range.

Congratulations to Gary Brown & Mike Dale in their Mitsubishi Galant VR4 who took out the event, from James Rodda & Claire Ryan with Russel Marker & Karien Heimsohn in 3rd. 2wd was won by Barry & Helen Lowe in their V8 Commodore after a great fight with Nev Whittenbury & Dave Rudham and Dave Hall & Mandy Rudham.

The SARC now moves to round 2, the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally, which will run as planned from 18th – 20th of May 2012.

Rodda and Ryan on the Pace at Rallye Wattle Range

Rally Power Motorsport’s James Rodda and co-driver Claire Ryan have started the 2012 SA Rally Championship with a strong 2nd outright result at the inaugural Rallye Wattle Range.

The new rally ran on Friday 13th – Saturday 14th and was based out of Millicent, with stages around both Millicent and Beachport townships. Some very fast, challenging stages were used, ones that would reward commitment to pace notes, but also care in rougher sections.
