The 2012 Walky Stages Rally, the fifth and final round of the South Australian Rally Championship, and the fourth and final round of the South Australian Clubman Series is just over 3 weeks away. The event will be held on Saturday the 27th of October. Start, finish and service will all take place in the lovely town of Truro and the organisers thank the local traders and townfolk of Truro for their very generous support of this event. We would especially like to thank the Truro and Districts Community Association for their ongoing and valuable assistance.

The fledging Historic rally Group has just run its second event, the Rallye Historique de Fleurieu on Saturday 11th of July. Only 9 entries but a very challenging event on the roads of the southern Fleurieu peninsula which were a bit wet and slippery after recent rain. Navigation was quite straightforward for the first half navs having to deal with an odd map scale and a number of maps. But the second half provided more for the navs to do with a monster 55 km section to finish with 11 tricky vias to plot.
1st place went to Reg Marrett and Dave Langfield on only his second map event(!) showing a clean pair of wheels to Mark Nelson/Mike Baker (yes the Mike Baker who used to be in the Honda car Club) and followed closely a couple of minutes away by Ethan and Alan Pickstock.

Plans are afoot to run another event or two as the interest in this style of cheap motorsport is increasing.

has anyone got any pics of the mustang from last wekends event? i would like to ge a few if possible.
