Planning for the 2011 asp Kuitpo Forest Rally scheduled for the 29th and 30th October 2011, is now well under way.

The final round of the 2011 SA Rally Championship will be approximately 220km, including 9 Special Stages and 3 Super Special Stages which have a total competitive distance of approximately 140km and will be held in the Southern Hills area on a combination of Forestry SA and Lanac Park.

The SA Clubman Series will be approximately 150km, including 6 Special Stages which have a total competitive distance of approximately 90km.

On Tuesday 4th October, Alexandrina Council voted in changes to their Festival and Events Policy to stop all motorsport requiring road closures running in their area. The largest of the affected events is the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally run by Ultimate Motorsport Events, which is a business registered in the Alexandrina Council, and the Southern Districts Car Club, whose home track is located in the Alexandrina Council.

The 2011 asp Adelaide Hill Tarmac Rally has been run and provisionally won. It was a hectic and intense weekend of rallying, with competitors having to deal with diverse stages and sometimes very difficult conditions. The winner of the event outright is the team of Matthew and Dennis Sims in their Nissan R35 GTR. Second went to Matthew Selley and Claire Ryan in the Subaru Impreza WRX Sti, with third place going to Andrew Burnard and Tim Margach in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII.
