Hi all,

Here are the 2009 SA Conditions of Rallying and the 2009 SARC Series Supp Regs. The key changes for this year are:

Overall
• Implementation of class based allocated numbers for the 2009 season (sect 10.3 c)
• Implementation of a SA Rally Champion Club Award (sect 6)
• Implementation of a South Australian Autocross Championship (sect 9)

South Australian Rally Championship (SARC)
• Creation of a “Modified Production” class to allow drivers with some older cars, not complying with PRC, Historic or Classic rules, to compete. Pls note: crews in these cars are not eligible for SARC points (sect 2.11 d)
• Extra scrutineering requirements (particularly for cars to be presented at main scrutineering) (sect 2.1 l)
• Better definition of DPI calculation when stages are interrupted (sect 2.2 b)
• Definition of, and changes to, eligibility to receive SARC series points (sect 2.5 a)
• Changes to series prizes of Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA entries (sect 2.11 i)
• Requirement for Road Books to have sufficient detail to allow crews to run safely on Road Book only (no pacenoting) (sect 2.1 g)
• Strong encouragement for consistent format for Road Cards, Control Cards, Service Guides, Spectator Guides and other event documentation across all events (sect 2.1 g)
• Definition of, and changes to, requirements for events to be able to obtain rebates from SARC Series Registration funds (sect 2.1 i)

South Australian Autosport Clubman Series (SAACS)
• Creation of an “All-comers” vehicle category. This just defines the category that was run in a number of individual events last year (then called non-intro or intermediate). This category is to allow crews who are not eligible as a Novice/Intro to run in cars which do not comply with PRC, Historic or Classic requirements (ie: can’t run in full Clubman). These crews are not eligible for SAACS points (sects 4.1 b ii) & 4.1 d 4.)
• Clearer definition of who is eligible to compete in the SAACS (sect 4.1 d)
• SAACS points structure brought in line with SARC points structure (sect 4.4 a & 4.5 d)
• Definition of A-B timing (sect 4.3 a)
• The Clubman section of RallySA will not count towards SAACS points (sect 4.1 a)

Other
• Date for the 2009 SA Rally Presentation Dinner (sect 10.1)
• Details of SARC and SA Rallying Series Sponsors (sects 10.2 f & 17)
• Details of Event Communication Support organisations (sect 13)
• Details of SA Major Rally Events (sect 16)

Cheers,
