Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally is proud to announce a huge boost to the running of the 2009 event with two local South Australian companies signing on as naming rights sponsors.

The committee is delighted to announce that joining asp for 2009 is Cut Price Truck Rentals / Koala Car Rentals, located on Sir Donald Bradman Drive in Mile End. Owner Brenton Griguol was keen to see the event grow after competing in the event last year. Brenton was enthusiastic on his reasons for sponsoring the event and commented he "wanted to help out a local club" and "support grass roots motor sport" as his main reason for sponsorship of the 2009 event.

asp - Application Service Provider were quick to carry on with their support of the event and signed on two weeks after the running of the event in June, 2008. Andrew Admiraal said, "This will be the 4th year running that asp have been involved with the Rally and the Southern Districts Car Club. The decision to continue with sponsorship was an easy one as we have had nothing but the utmost respect for the event organisers and the Southern Districts Car Club. Their culture, their focus on excellence, their commitment to all aspects of safety, their dedication to the development of junior drivers and of course the excitement and fun that all comers experience, embody the values that asp adhere to. The asp Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally has become a highly respected fixture in the motor sport calendar with competitors all over Australia keenly participating and enjoying not only the event, but also the hospitality of the organisers, the officials, and the team at Penny's Hill Winery, where the event is based."

With a solid competitor base already established and deposits for the 2009 event already rolling in, the event looks certain to be a highlight for Tarmac competitors. Tony Parkinson owner of Penny's Hill Winery is once again supporting the event and will allow the event to have use of the wineries picturesque grounds for the weekend, providing a superb location for the events Headquarters and Service Park.

Michael Clements, the Clerk of Course for the rally, along with the organising committee, are eagerly looking forward to improving and extending the rally into a two-day event, and have penciled in May 30th & 31st 2009 (subject to CAMS and local Council approval). Michael said, "It was a fantastic start to the planning of the event, having two outstanding local companies providing their support to the event". Stage Sponsorship is also progressing steadily with Lynas Auto Group, Southern Vales Tinting, Perkins Auto Repairs and Power Motorsport/Event Power and Light already signed on and providing their support for the 2009 event.
