This weekend, Kuitpo Forest will come alive to the sound of fast, loud, fire breathing rally cars, as it hosts the 4th and final round of the Autosport South Australian Rally Championship (SARC) and the Autosport South Australian Clubman Series (SACS).

Action will be coming thick and fast on Sunday (19th), as this event is truly the final decider to the exciting 2010 SA Rally Championship. All 26 Competitors will be on the edge as they make the most of the 1.5x points on offer. The championship is still anyone’s game, with the top 5 contenders only separated by less the 40 points. The event is made up of 128 competitive kilometers, through tough challenging forestry roads and tracks, based around Meadows, Prospect Hill and Kangarilla.

Local Meadows competitors James Rodda and Mitchell Hall will be out to impress on home soil. 20 year Rodda is especially keen to be on pace from the start, following a 3rd outright Placing at Robertstown Rally and a 2nd Outright Placing at Rally of SA.

All season Rodda and Co-driver, Marcus Piristi have been clawing back up the points table after the devastating engine failure at the end of the final stage in Round 1, where they had a winning lead of 2 minutes. Rodda, being in the top 5 group, still has a chance of taking the championship with the 1.5x points on offer, but he will also be pushing to end the season with a personal best result.

This years’ event will kick off at 9am, from Service Park which is based at the corner of Brookman and Christmas Hill Roads, Kuitpo. Spectators are free to check out teams repairing cars during the allotted services times at 9:40am, 11:30am, 12:40pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm

Spectating is also free at the official spectator point on Brookman-Conner Road, Kuitpo (first car on stage) 9:19am, 12:18pm, 3:17pm, as well as corner of Peter’s Creek and Wicks Roads, Kuitpo at 10:18am, 1:17pm, 3:56pm.
