All roads lead to Robertstown for
Round 3 of the South Australian Rally Championship

2010 Copyworld ‘Walky 100’ – 14th August, 2010

2010 marks the 26th running of the Robertstown special stage rally and the 3rd round of the South Australian Rally Championship. Robertstown always puts on a great show for spectators, with enormous jumps and slippery corners to catch out some of the inexperienced crews!

Once again, the Robertstown Football Club oval will become the traditional headquarters and service/camping area for the event. Everyone is welcome to wander through the pits and watch service crews hard at work on the cars between stages. There will also be food and drink available.

Some roads that have been favourites for the past 25 years are back again, along with others which were only introduced over the last few years. The rally starts at 11:00 am and the first car is due home at 7:45 pm, giving us the most traditional element of the Robertstown event; the mixture of daylight and night stages.

Back by popular demand, the 2010 COPYWORLD Walky 100 will open with the stage called ‘One Big Hill’ (formerly known as ‘The Plains’). A highlight is the famous triple jump toward the end of the stage, which is also the first spectator point of the event (only 15kms from Robertstown Oval). This stage will be used three times, whilst all other competition roads will be used twice.

The 18km night stage, ‘Roast Revised’ can prove to be a lot of fun in the wet as there are several sections along the top of the ridge containing a good mix of slippery clay. There are six road junctions that are easily accessible providing the spectators a good show of commitment and skills of the competing crews.

So, Saturday August 14th all roads lead to Robertstown for Round 3 of the 2010 Autosport South Australian Rally Championship!!! A comprehensive ‘Spectator Guide’ is posted on www.sarally.com.au and www.wacc.asn.au .
