Dissapointing ECB Rally Calder for 777 Rallysport

Lisa Dunkerton teamed up with Guy Tyler for an ultimately disappointing ECB Rally Calder

The inaugural East Coast Bullbars Rally Calder has been run and won, however the Triple Seven Rallysport team's campaign was cut short with the crew of Guy Tyler and Lisa Dunkerton retiring at the end of heat one.

The team's debut of their new RenaultSport Clio didnt go to plan with the car's gearbox casing cracking open as they drove into parc ferme on friday night.

Guy Tyler: "We had issues with the gearbox for most of heat one and unfortunatley it finally gave up "

"However the time I did get to spend in the car was great, it took a bit of getting used to after spending last year in a four wheel drive car and I am sure we will come out fighting at our home round in SA"

"A huge thankyou has to go to Lisa Dunkerton for co-driving for me, her experience was invaluable and I have learnt so much which will surely help in my coming events"

The team would like to congratulate the other SA crews that did extremely well on the weekend.

Michael Busby and Steve Fisher finished 3rd outright 2wd and 1st 2wd in the RallySchool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge after an intense battle with Adrian Coppin, which Michael and Steve won by half a second on heat three's final stage!

Jack Monkhouse also drove well in his new Nissan Silvia and had a tough battle with the factory team Honda Jazz's all weekend and finished an awesome second outright 2WD.

Triple Seven Rallysport will return to the Australian Rally Championship at the Scouts Rally SA in july and would like to thank their sponsors: B&R Autogas and Exhaust, Aluminimum Dynamics, Walkers Creative Art, Willunga Tyre and Auto and S2 Performance.
