Dunkerton teams up with Tyler for Rally Calder

Guy Tyler and his new 777 Rallysport team

In an exciting announcement for young South Australian rally Driver Guy Tyler and his team Triple Seven Rallysport, they are pleased to reveal that Lisa Dunkerton will be the teams Co Driver for the inaugural Rally Calder, presented by East Coast Bullbars.

Lisa, wife of 5 times Australian Rally Champion Ross Dunkerton, will bring years of priceless experience to the young team who are hoping for a good result as she and Guy compete in the opening round of the Bosch ARC and Rallyschool.com Australian Junior Challenge.

"I am extremely excited and honoured to have Lisa calling the notes for me at Rally Calder. Lisa has been very successful in both gravel and tarmac rallies with a number of champion drivers and will bring an added maturity to the car" says Guy.

"I am sure I will be able to learn a lot from her and will be trying my hardest to take in all I can to not only give us a successful event, but to uphold the Dunkerton name" says Tyler who also added that there might be a certain amount of pressure to perform well on the Rally Calder Dunkerton' stages named after Ross Dunkerton for his incredible ARC success.

Lisa: "Ross and I have been asked about mentoring and assisting young competitors this year, especially where our own rally programme permits. Guy has been getting some good advice and help from other experienced competitors and it's to his credit that he is seeking to expand his knowledge and skills. We were not running our BDA at Calder as Ross will be busy with television commitments and the release of his Autobiography. This left me available to sit alongside Guy and I am very pleased to be able to share some knowledge with him and the team and hopefully get a good solid result."

For the rest of the rallying season, Triple Seven Rallysport's usual Co Driver Jenna Kelley will rejoin the team - work commitments preventing her from competing at Rally Calder.

Triple Seven Rallysport would like to thank their sponsors: B&R Autogas and Exhaust, S2 Performance, Walkers Creative Art, Willunga Tyre and Battery and Aluminium Dynamics.
