RECONNAISSANCE VIDEOS NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE 2009 ASP / CUT PRICE ADELAIDE HILLS TARMAC RALLY

In what is believed to be a world first, organisers of the asp / Cut Price Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally have produced reconnaissance videos of every stage of the event, and made them available online to competitors and anyone else that may be interested.

The videos will let drivers and co-drivers, as well as officials and spectators, familiarise themselves with the roads that will form the competitive stages of the rally, being run on May 30th & 31st. For interstate competitors without local knowledge of the areas the videos may help level the playing field, as many of them will have limited opportunities to actually drive the roads before competing on them.

Organisers are also hoping that the videos will reduce the impact of the rally on local residents by reducing the number of times competitors drive the stages before the event.

RaceCam provided their state of the art VIO POV 1.5 in-car camera system for the 2009 asp / Cut Price Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally team to use in the creation of the demo stage footage. For further information, please contact [email protected].

All of the videos can be viewed at www.asprally.com, and have been filmed at or below the legal speed limit, whilst driving for the conditions and obeying all applicable road rules.
