‘Scouts Rally SA’ to incorporate the MSA Motorcycle/Quad Rally Sprint

Scouts Rally SA Poster

For the first time in South Australia, Motorbikes and Quads will be participating alongside the established stars of Rally when they contest sections of the event in Mount Crawford Forest.

The MSA Motorcycle/Quad Rally Sprint will be a two day competition, with stages run in a similar manner to the iconic Dakar event. The event, to be run in conjunction with MSA, has attracted a great deal of interest, and the 100 entry cap is sure to be filled.

The MSA Motorcycle/Quad Rally Sprint will be an exciting addition to an already adrenalin charged event, and provide spectators with another layer of quality motor sport action in the famous Mount Crawford Spectator Park. With the involvement of MSA, action will be continuous for the first time. Spectators will be able to come, and stay for the day, enjoying the rally action from Australia's best rally drivers, alongside some of the best motocross and enduro riders in Australia. The specially set up Scouts SA Family area will have free children’s activities. Catering, toilets, shelter and commentary are all available at this family friendly spectator area. It will be spectator heaven.
“Do it All! Is what we say at Scouts and Scouts RallySA certainly is in 2010. Motorbikes and Quad Bikes added to the ARC and SARC rally cars together with our entry level Rover Scout Motorsport “buggies” will provide a great day’s entertainment in the Mt Crawford Forest. We are proud to be involved with Rally SA. Action adventure and excitement are what we are all about!” said Dan Ryan, CEO Scouts SA.

Scouts Rally SA Clerk of Course Ivar Stanelis said he is thrilled to be adding such a terrific layer of competition and excitement to an already highly regarded event. "the MSA Motorcycle/Quad Rally Sprint is going to be a wonderful addition to our event. Putting the stars of their respective sports alongside each other will benefit spectators and sponsors alike, and I think it will be the fore-runner of things to come"

Gerry Jongebloed, the Offroad Sports Manager for MSA added "We are very excited at MSA, as we believe there is a great synergy between Rally and off road motorcycling. We hope that this will be the start of a long term relationship"

The event will consist of 4 rally stages in Mount Crawford, some run twice, and suitably modified by addition of off road sections, to provide a course that caters for all skill levels, and results in a fun and safe event. A demonstration parade will be held at the Angaston Super Special stages on both Friday and Saturday nights, and a selection of bikes will take part in the event's media day

Spectator information is posted soon on www.rallysa.com.au and www.saoffroadchampionships.com. We have also attached some maps for you to download.
